Since 2017, Rotary Bangalore has been at the forefront of amateur golf development in India through its prestigious partnership with the Indian Golf Union (IGU). We were the first and only golf club to collaborate with the IGU to host a South Indian Championship that brought together the country's finest amateur golfers, including women and players across multiple age categories.This unique tournament provides a platform for emerging talent to compete at the highest level while promoting the growth of amateur golf across India. What began with approximately 130 participants has steadily grown over the years, reaching nearly 200 participants in 2025, reflecting the increasing popularity and success of the championship.

AM-AM INATIVE

We conduct the AM - AM initiative, designed to encourage club members to interact and play alongside the top 30 amateur golfers in the country. This creates valuable opportunities for members to learn from elite players, gain insights into competitive golfing strategies, and enhance their own game through direct engagement.

FIRST SWING POWERED BY ROTARY CLUB OF BANGALORE

We are taking an ambitious leap forward with our mission to make golf accessible to all by introducing the sport to students at Vidya Vikas Govt School, a government high school. At our first center in Begur, we’re setting up a dedicated practice range where kids can experience the joy of golf.

But it’s more than just a game—we’re using golf as a tool to teach valuable life lessons like discipline, focus, and perseverance. This groundbreaking initiative has taken place and we’re excited to see these young talents take their first swing toward a brighter future.
